FIREFIGHTERS remain at a Tredegar farm after being called to put out a blaze in a barn which contained gas cylinders last night.
They were called to the Tir Morgan Hywel Farm in Nantybwch at 11.32pm and three fire engines and a water bowser are still there. The barn collapsed at about 7.45am.
Gas and acetylene cylinders were inside the building, along with timber and machinery.
Residents around the farm were asked to stay indoors and a 200 metre safety zone was cordoned off.
Crews from Ebbw Vale, Tredegar, Aberbargoed and Rhymney attended the blaze.
