A NEWPORT man who had been accused of four sexual offences, including one of rape, was cleared of all charges today.
Graham Greatley, 27, of Oliphant Circle, was found not guilty on charges of one count of rape, two counts of sexual assault by penetration and another of sexual assault.
A jury of eight women and four men reached their verdict this afternoon at Cardiff Crown Court.
Greatley told the Argus he had been through a “year of hell”.
Originally from Sutton, he had maintained that while he and the woman had been drinking alcohol in a Newport sitting room, it was she who made the first move.
