A South Wales Fire Service spokesman said the boy was unharmed
FIRE service crews rescued an 11-year-old boy after he became trapped in a water culvert cage in Cwmcarn on Thursday evening.
Risca and Malpas crews were called to the scene at Brooklands Terrace, Cwmcarn, at 5.57pm and used small tools to free the boy.
A South Wales Fire Service spokesman said the boy was unharmed and they left the scene at 6.20pm.
