DOZENS of residents at a Caldicot care home marked Armed Forces Day with a musical tea party.
Around 24 residents at Cherry Tree Care Home on Newport Road joined with care home staff to celebrate the important day on Friday, June 27.
During the afternoon event residents were treated to a musical performance by singer known as Mandy Ann from Port Talbot, a regular visitor at the home, who sang a variety of old favourites and got the audience involved.
“Mandy-Ann is a regular visitor and the residents adore her,” host Sue Colston-Reeves said.
“She was dressed in an old forces uniform and gave out sailor hats and RAF hats to residents and got them involved singing all the oldies.
"It was a lovely day and there was a great atmosphere."
The annual celebration organised by the care home was then followed by tea and cake.
