THIS year sees the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and to mark this historic event, we're looking for stories from Gwent of the time when Britain stood alone.
Were you or your relatives in the RAF? Were they one of the few battling the Luftwaffe in the skies? Or perhaps they were one of the 'many' - the unsung heroes who manned barrage balloons, or served as air raid wardens.
We're also looking for civilian memories of the time, such as when a German Heinkel bomber crashed onto a Newport street. So if you have a Battle of Britain connection call Martin Wade on 01633 777008 or e-mail martin.wade@southwalesargus.co.uk
