POLICE seized two cars during a busy weekend of car crime in Newport and Monmouthshire.
The two cars were seized by area support officers for having no insurance, with one of the drivers also not having a licence.
Officers also arrested a man for possession with intent to supply cannabis in the Gaer area of Newport with their colleagues from Pill Station.
The man has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers are also working to tackle drink and drug driving and, after stopping a car that was being driven erratically, they arrested another person for drug driving after using their roadside drug testing kit.
ASU East is a team of officers from the dog section, support group, roads policing and the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) team who cover the Newport and Monmouthshire areas.
