TINTERN Abbey has been named as one of the must see sights in the world.
The Cistercian abbey has ranked in the Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travelist of the 500 best places to see on the planet.
The historic site in Monmouthshire built between 1131 and 1536 is one of seven Welsh places on the list and is ranked 373. The highest ranking place in Wales is Snowdonia at 181 followed by Portmeirion at 207.
