All lanes have now been re-opened. Traffic is still queuing with congestion to J23.
UPDATE 8.56am:
The lorry is still stuck on the motorway with two lanes closed. Fire crews have left the scene but traffic officers remain.
UPDATE 8.26am:
A spokeswoman from South Wales Fire and Rescue said it was a small engine fire between the cab and the cargo unit.
UPDATE 8.00am:
A LORRY fire has closed two lanes on the M4 in Newport this morning.
The incident is between between J24 at the Coldra and J25 at Caerleon on the westbound side.
Two fire crews are at the scene and queuing traffic is reported.
