A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has raised £2,125 in memory of his grandfather with a 5K colour run.
Tom Forde, lost his grandfather Brian Forde, 79, who lived in Llangybi, to leukaemia last year and took part in the Brighton Colour Run on October 10 in aid of Bloodwise, which is the new name of charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.
Tom and his mum completed the course in 33 minutes and 53 seconds. His original fundraising target was £300 but quickly rose to more than £2,000.
Tom said: "I miss him everyday and wanted to do something to remember him by and for him to be proud of me.
"I also wanted to raise some money for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity so that other Granddad's and Grandma's can live longer and their grandchildren can continue to play with them."
