The May meeting took place at the Ponthir village hall when Mrs Jean Wiltshire was re-elected president for the following year.
The committee was also re-elected, with Mrs Agnes Heath as secretary and Mrs Eileen Randall as treasurer.
The usual business took place and all the reports were accepted.
Mrs Sheila Hughes, vice-chairwoman of the Gwent Federation, was the guest speaker for the evening and was presented with a bouquet of flowers and Jean, as president, thanked her for her help.
The raffle was won by the secretary Mrs Agnes Heath and the competition for shortbread biscuits was won by the president.
The competition, Fidler on the Rood, was on display for the members to see who were unable to attend the AC meeting held recently at the County Hall.
Tea and light refreshments were served by Mrs Jacqui Green and Mrs Jean Stanbury.
Mrs Jean Wiltshire, president, thanked the committee for their support during the year.
Please come along to the Ponthir village hall where we meet on the first Monday each month at 7.15pm when you will receive a warm welcome
