COMMUTERS on the way to work in Cardiff from Abergavenny celebrated Christmas by hosting a party with a difference on Friday.
A group including Chris Lines set up their table, pulled crackers – wearing pink party hats for the duration of their journey – and ate food to celebrate Christmas.
Mr Lines said: “We were chatting about a week ago and we were comparing Christmas party plans and someone said: why don’t we have a party on the train?”
Mr Lines said a man who the group did not know was kind enough to move his laptop so they could put a tablecloth on one of the tables on the Arriva Trains Wales 8.08am service.
And he said although it was said to be Black Friday at night because of lairy drinkers celebrating Christmas, their celebration, which they enjoyed with a glass of Prosecco, did not make it Black Friday Morning.
“If you’re talking about the spirit of Christmas, I think was it,” he said.
He added: “It is possible the trolley takings were down that morning.”
