POLICE want to find a man who entered a Caerleon Spar store with a handgun in an armed robbery onFriday night.
A photo has been released of a suspect police want to find after the armed robbery at the Spar store and service station on Ponthir Road in Caerleon.
The robbery happened on Friday, March 11 between 10.50pm and 11pm - just before closing time.
Police said a man entered the store holding what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. He then ran off with a quantity of cash, on to Ponthir Road.
The man is described as a white, approximately 6ft tall with brown eyes.
The man was wearing a green hooded jacket with orange lining to the hood, dark blue jeans, dark coloured trainers and had most of his face covered with some type of hood or head-over scarf.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to please call 101 quoting log number 525 11/3/16.
