Newly-appointed Honorary Counsul for the Kingdom the Netherlands in Cardiff Helen Thomas.
WELSH lawyer Helen Thomas has been sworn in as the new Honorary Consul for the Kingdom the Netherlands in Cardiff by the Dutch Ambassador to the UK Simon Smits.
The role is responsible for representing the Netherlands in Wales and providing emergency consular assistance to Dutch citizens
Ms Thomas, a partner at the Cardiff office of international law firm Eversheds, replaces Sam Smith in the regional role, one of 12 in the UK, and the only one in Wales.
