TRAFFIC on High Street in Newport has been brought to a standstill after a woman collapsed, leaving her waiting for over an hour for an ambulance.
The elderly woman is reported to have been on the road for "an hour and three quarters" and that a paramedic had arrived at around 12.30pm.
Four buses have had to stop on High Street while the woman is cared for and passengers have been asked to get off.
