A MAN who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Caerphilly has now been charged.
A 43-year-old man was arrested after the incident on Cardiff Road on the evening of Thursday, September 15.
He has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a offensive weapon and is remanded in custody.
He also appeared at Newport Magistrates Court this morning.
The 61-year-old man who sustained serious injuries in the attack remains at the University Hospital of Wales in a stable condition.
