A NEWPORT man charged with the murder of a couple outside the shop they worked in appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today.
Andrew Patrick Saunders, 21, is accused of killing Zoe Morgan, 21 and Lee Simmons, 33 as they left their Matalan store on Cardiff's Queen Street.
Saunders, of Castleton, spoke only to say "that is correct" when asked to confirm his name.
Prosecutor Michael Jones told the preliminary hearing police investigations into CCTV footage and social media posts were still ongoing.
Saunders, wearing a red t-shirt, was told by Judge Eleri Rees his next appearance at court would be on December 19.
He was remanded in custody until December.
