A CAERPHILLY county borough attraction has been recognised for its popularity after receiving an award from a travel website.
Cwmcarn Forest was one of four venues in the Caerphilly county borough that was an awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ by TripAdvisor.
The accolade is awarded to venues who consistently receive positive traveller views on the TripAdvisor website, focusing on attractions listed for more than 12 months.
Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five and have a minimum number of reviews.
With a successful summer season, overall visitor numbers for 2016 saw about 100,000 people visiting Cwmcarn Forest between January and June. Cabinet member for regeneration, Cllr Ken James, said: “This is testament to the fantastic service that is delivered at each venue by both staff and volunteers.”
