COUNCILLORS in Wales could receive an increase in their allowances of 0.75 per cent, the first salary rise in three years, if plans get the go-ahead.
A report by the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales has made the recommendation, which would take effect from April 2017, and an eight-week consultation into the proposals has been launched.
