A NEWPORT man has pleaded guilty to attempting to rob a post office in Newport.
Kane Wannell, 19, of Tredegar Park View, pleaded guilty to two charges of attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
The incident took place at Bassaleg Post Office on September 5.
The defendant allegedly used an imitation handgun to steal money from the post office.
He appeared via video link this morning at Cardiff Crown Court.
He will re-appear in court on Wednesday, October 26.
