AMATEUR photographers in Newport are being invited to submit their snaps for a photography competition at Tredegar House.
Winning shots will be printed on the postcards sold in the National Trust’s onsite gift shop at the historic house, just off J28 of the M4.
The competition aims to find a series of photos reflecting visitors’ passions for the 17th-century estate, capturing the mansion house, gardens and parkland in all their glory. Whether it is a photograph of a particular piece of the collection, the iconic red brick exterior or nature nesting on the lake, the judges are looking for images that reflect the unique and inspiring surrounds of Tredegar House.
Photos do not have to have been taken during the competition period and entries may reflect any season. Images must be captured using the camera’s highest resolution setting and should be at least 300dpi.
Images must not be excessively retouched and should not include any identifiable people. Full terms and conditions can be found at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/tredegarhouse.
Entries must be submitted by 5pm on Wednesday, January 4. To enter the competition, send your snaps to tredegar@nationaltrust.org.uk using the subject line Photography Competition.
