WE HAVE been asked to point out that in a School of the Week article published in the South Wales Argus on Thursday, we incorrectly spelled the name of Georgetown Primary School head teacher Amanda Hulbert.
In the article, we did not make it clear that the main picture showed older foundation phase pupils reading to nursery pupils.
The article also quoted Mrs Hulbert as saying "Being a small school everybody knows everybody in the surrounding area and with this we get huge support from parents, the PTA, and the community." This should have read "Being a small community…".
Georgetown Primary School is the second-largest primary school in Blaenau Gwent and the largest in Tredegar.
We are happy to clarify this.
