A BUZZARD was rescued from the M4 this morning.
Reports that a bird of prey was stuck in the central reservation near the Brynglas Tunnels near Newport was made at at 11.15am and traffic was severely disrupted while the bird was rescued.
A rolling road block was put in place to help ease the severe traffic delays.
A Police spokeswoman said: "At approximately 11:15am on Friday April 21 we received reports of a bird of prey at J26 towards the Brynglas Tunnels on the M4.
"Traffic management attended the scene and the Owl has been taken away by a bird sanctuary for rehabilitation."
