WE ARE delighted to reveal the host of the South Wales Argus Health And Care Awards.
The GP, TV presenter and author Dr Hilary Jones will be the host of our special presentation event at Chepstow Racecourse on October 19.
Best known for his work on breakfast shows TVAM and GMTV on ITV, Dr Hilary Jones is now health editor for the channel’s breakfast television and can regularly be seen on Good Morning Britain.
He knows first hand the amazing work that goes on in the health and care sector.
After qualifying as a doctor in 1976 at the Royal Free Hospital in London, he went on to work as a troubleshooting GP and emergency doctor for the oil industry at Sullom Voe in Shetland.
He became a principal in general practice and a GP trainer in the early 1980s, and he also worked as a senior house officer in ophthalmology before entering general practice.
Check out Friday's edition of the South Wales Argus for an interview with Dr Hilary.
