THOUSANDS of foodies descended to Caerphilly town centre for its annual food festival.
The Caerphilly Food Festival returned for the seventh time today and boasted a wide-range of delicious foods.
Visitors' taste buds were tempted by chocolates, cheeses, jams and other produce from more than 130 stall holders.
Kerry James said she had travelled from Bristol for the annual event.
"I look forward to the food festival every year," said the 36-year-old teacher.
"The food is delicious and there is so much to choose from.
"Everyone is very friendly. It is a great atmosphere."
Caerphilly resident Darryl Crewe went to the festival with his wife and two daughters.
"It is a great day out for everyone," said the 24-year-old.
"When I'm tasting food, my children are taking part in children's craft stores.
"I love the cheese stalls the most - but they are not good when you are trying to lose weight."
Jannie Angel, who lives in Risca, was also having fun at the event and added it was her first time.
"I have never been before," she said.
"I had heard of it but never got round to coming to see it.
"I cannot get over all the types of food. I have bought jams, cheeses, meat and fish."
She added: "I will definitely be coming back next year."
