A CITY coffee shop is celebrating its first year in business.

Rogue Fox Coffee House opened its doors in Clytha Park Road, Newport, on June 25, 2017.

Owner Will Green said that the year has had challenges, but that he and his partner Lexi are enjoying the work.

He said: “With our sort of business you can’t predict the trade, so we have been playing it blind and figuring out. But it has been a very good year and we are thankful to the community for their support.”

The coffee shop is located in what is described as Newport’s “independent” area.

“We have a lovely collection of independent businesses,” Mr Green added.

“We are all very sociable and know each other. I have invited some of the other business owners to my wedding.”

The owners have plans to expand in the future and Mr Green said he is looking at “developing the shop and menu,” but added that they are still finding their feet.
