St Theodore's Church in Cwmfelinfach is throwing open it's doors to everyone from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, September 8, for its open day.
It will be a chance to meet and have a chat over a cup of tea with friends and neighbours and to look at photos and history of the church, which will be on display.
You can be assured of a nice relaxed atmosphere where you can sit for as long as you like and you will be made very welcome.
Nursing Home Fete: If you are looking for somewhere to go on Saturday afternoon why not go along to the Ynysddu Nursing Home Fete, September 8, 2pm.
There will be lots of things to do including catch the rat, tombola, face painting and throw a sponge at matron in the stocks'!! - and lots, lots more.
There will be hot dogs and refreshments for those who fancy a nibble.
Matron, Rose Parsons said the residents and staffs have all worked hard to make the day a success and are really looking forward it.
Charity Football Match: The Crusaders are looking forward to a Charity Football match between Cru's U13s v Pont Red Stars at the Welfare Ground on Wednesday, September 5. Kick off at 6pm.
It is in aid of Cancer Research Wales. Look out for sponsor forms, which are circulating throughout the valley.
Sardis Community Hall: The classes have started up again at Sardis. For more information ring Wendy on 01495 200345.
Mondays - At 9am there's digital photography class and 1.30pm art class with Tony Davies.
Aerobics and dance for teenagers starts at 6.30pm.
For the adults there is a weekly exercise class starting at 7.30pm and the teacher Anita Brown will discuss weight problems with you - if needed!
Tuesdays - come along at 10.30am for tea, toast and a chat. Sometimes there is a quiz or someone is invited to give the ladies a talk.
At 11.45am lunches are served! It's good food, good company and great value for £2.20.
This is an ideal time to socialise. People living on their own are especially welcome.
Wednesdays - 9.30am the walking club starts from Ynysddu Bridge and at 10.30am there is easy exercise for the more mature person.
Thursdays - at 10 am there is sugar craft with Lynda Trew. At 1.30pm there is art with Tony Davies and at 6pm there is Ynysddu's own Muppets.
Fridays - At the end of September there will be a first aid course especially for parents of young children.
