AN IMMERSIVE horror experience dubbed ‘the UK’s most intense scare attraction’ is back.
FearFest-Evil is at Chepstow National Diving & Activity Centre (NDAC), and features an abandoned railway line, unused quarry, and a forgotten forest for the ultimate horror experience.
Described by vlogger Luke Farmer as ‘intense’ the event involves victims being chased by 'Night Creatures', who will touch, scare, grab, and capture people, often separating groups.
In order to distinguish actors from participants, guests cannot wear a full face mask, and it's recommended they dress appropriately for the weather (and for running), bearing in mind that they may be on their hands and knees, crawling through tunnels and sewers.
The terrifying experience is suitable for people over the age of 16, but unsuitable for the wheelchair users, pregnant women, or those with a nervous disposition.
If you have a heart condition, diabetes, asthma, or any other disability and have doubts, FearFest-Evil is not recommended.
The Scare Zones, which will include offensive smells and strobe lights, are Tales of the Dark, House of Horrors, and Platform 13, which are all included in the £25 Standard Scare package.
Those feeling brave can purchase additional extras. Plunge from a 70-metre edge into the quarry, Zipline 700 metres over the flooded quarry, reaching up to 40 miles per hour.
Or, if you dare, try out the Giant 3G swing, which will drop guests into the darkness, before swinging them 245 foot over the quarry edge, in a terrifying test of G-force.
These extras will be available, subject to availability, on the day but pre-booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
Guests cannot bring in their own food and drink, but View Café Bar will be serving food, along with an outdoor barbecue and bars on site.
People who wish to spend the night can do so, although Saturday accommodation is sold out.
This is the RIP optional extra, with standard Wigwams, deluxe Wigwams, and VIP Wigwams – which include personal hot tubs – are up for grabs, to suit every budget.
This option is not a FearFest-Evil package, so will have to be purchased on the National Diving & Activity Centre website.
FearFest-Evil will be hosted on Friday and Saturday of the next two weekends, plus on Halloween itself, on October 31.
Hourly slots are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm, but guests should arrive an hour early to allow time for parking in the main NDAC car park, and registration.
Live music on October 19 will be Elevation, with The Jumps on October 20, Humbug on October 25, You Me And The Dance Floor on October 26, and The Stacks on October 31.
