Every Welsh person has heard of Victor Spinetti, the famous eccentric Italian comic.
But not everyone will know that Victor was born and grew up in Cwm.
Victor's father used to run a fish shop on Marine Street.
The shop, which first opened in 1926, still stands today and is now run by Victor's brother-in-law, David Hughes.
Mr Hughes, 63, of Gilwern, has been running the shop for 34 years.
Originally he ran it with Mario, Victor's brother but took it over after his death.
Pictures of Victor adorn the walls and everyone, it seems, in the street has nice things to say about him.
Everyone I speak to smiles when I mention Victor's name and says that the fame has never gone to his head.
That is quite inspirational when you consider the amazing career Victor has had.
Victor starred in a number of hit Broadway shows including Expresso Bongo with Paul Scofield and Leonard Bernstein's Candide.
In fact George Harrison's mother was such a fan of Victor that he was asked to star in three iconic Beatles videos - A Hard Day's Night (1964), Help! (1965), and Magical Mystery Tour (1967).
His Brother-in-law, Mr Hughes, 63, of Gilwern, said: Victor's always proud of the fact that he comes from Cwm.
When people see the photos of him on the wall it's always a talking point..
There are pictures of Victor's dad as well.
I revamped the shop a few years ago and the pictures were part of my idea to make it a family shop.
I re-named the shop to Joe's Fish Bar' too, after Victor's dad.'
