A FORMER Argus journalist who now stars in the hit UK show The Chase is set to enter I'm a Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here!

Anne Hegerty is one of the latest stars to be heading down under to take part in the show.

She said to PA on her decision to enter the jungle: “I have always refused to do sugar-free diets but this is part of the deal and so let’s go for it.

“I was the world’s worst Brownie and Girl Guide and I never did camping.

“I am pretty sedentary and I spend most of my time sitting on my bum reading things on the internet.

“It will do me good to have to exercise a little bit more.”

Ms Hegerty, before becoming one of the Chasers, was a reporter at the South Wales Argus during the early 1980s.

As well as reporting, she also wrote features.

She later left and moved to Manchester.
