A 30-YEAR-OLD man from the Fleur-De-Lis area, near Blackwood, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, following a crash last Friday.
The man, who is due to appear at Newport Magistrates' Court this morning, is also charged with two counts causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The crash happened in New Road, Ystrad Mynach, at around 8.30pm on January 11, and involved a black Seat Leon and a grey Volkswagen Crafter van.
Jason Clarke, 43, from the Fleur-De-Lis area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Seat, and two further passengers, were taken to hospital.
Gwent Police continue to ask that motorists who used New Road between 8.15pm and 8.30pm check dashcam footage, as it may provide further information that will assist inquiries.
