A MAIN street in Newport city centre was closed earlier after a pigeon got stuck on a wire.
The High Street was closed for roughly 30 minutes, for emergency services to try to free the animal.
The road closure caused some traffic.
Sue Arrowsmith, who is head of commercial for FoxStar bus, said: "Bus users experienced delays due to a stuck pigeon.
"Newport Fire Service closed the High Street to rescue a pigeon that was stuck on a wire.
"Our supervisory team safely reversed buses and cars that were stuck while our top dollar drivers took coffees to waiting passengers in Market Square."
