FUN IN A GOOD CAUSE: The staff of the Beechwood Spar on Chepstow Road held a Saturday Fun Day to raise funds for the NSPCC.
The girls were in fancy dress, such as St Trinian's, gangsters and a big pink baby, while serving customers with sandwiches, cakes and drinks. They held in-store raffles, a lucky dip and a weight-the-cake competition, etc.
Store manageress Pamela Richardson said that all the staff were involved including Lynn Summers, Amanda Harvey, Kirsty Pritchard, Andrea Campbell, Lesley Heard and Jackie Sheen. Customers readily joined in the fun and a total of £1,165 was raised for the NSPCC.
The girls' next project will be Red Nose Day.
