DETECTIVES have appealed for witnesses to an alleged “glassing” attack at a Newport bar – in which a woman suffered eye injuries – to come forward with information.
The incident took place at Musique, in Market Street, in the early hours of Sunday, February 17, between 1am and 2am.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating reports that a woman was struck in the face with a glass by another woman, leaving the victim with injuries to her eye.
“Following the incident, a 47-year-old woman from Newport was arrested on suspicion of assault. She has been given police bail, pending further investigation.
“We would like to speak to anyone who might have seen the incident and can help our enquiries.
