A NEWPORT teenager is starring in a popular BBC series.
Lucas Bridger, who went to St Josephs School, is one of the main characters in Teen Taxis, which is about conversations teenagers have with their parents in the car.
The 16-year-old appears throughout series one.
Lucas said: "It is an experience of a life time and the support I have had has been amazing."
And mum Gemma Davies is encouraging teenagers to watch the series.
She said: "I always knew Lucas had something special. He applied and he got straight through.
"Teenagers have a lot on their shoulders, like being worried about exams, relationships and what they are going to do after school, so it is nice for a TV series to show that teenagers are going through the same stuff.
"It allows them to relate to one another.
Series two is currently being filmed and Lucas is set to make appearances.
