A CAR has caught fire on the A465 Heads Of The Valleys Road on the eastbound carriageway between Station Road (Gilwern Roundabout) and A40 Monmouth Road (Hardwick Roundabout).
Traffic cameras are showing that the car has completely burnt out.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: "At approximately 8.25am on Monday, March 25 2019, Gwent Police were called to reports of a vehicle fire on the A465 between the Gilwern and the Hardwick roundabout.
"Fire crews were also contacted. The vehicle is currently waiting to be recovered.
"Please find alternative routes for your journey to avoid delays."

The AA are reporting slow traffic and that one lane has been closed due to the incident.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service have warned motorists to expect delays.
