A BODY was found in the waters of Pen y Fan Pond, in Caerphilly county borough, this afternoon.
It follows a police search which began yesterday following a call reporting concern for a man in the water, at 7pm.

Fire crews, the ambulance service, mountain rescue workers and divers were all involved in the search efforts.
Police officers even used drones to try and spot the man who had been reported as being in the water.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a police helicopter searching the area and ambulances heading towards the pond from the direction of Oakdale.

A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said: "Formal identification is yet to take place but the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time."
