A DRUG dealer is facing a potential jail sentence after she admitted trafficking heroin and crack cocaine.
Joanne Morgan, aged 45, pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply in Newport.
The offences were committed on December 23, 2018.
She admitted the charges before her trial was due to start.
Cardiff Crown Court heard how Morgan, of Cwrt y Gamlas, Cwmbran, was convicted of being a “street dealer” and had no previous convictions for supplying drugs.
The defendant’s barrister, Scott Bowen, asked Judge Nicola Jones to adjourn sentence so that a report could be prepared by the Probation Service.
She agreed and put back the case until Thursday, May 2 and warned Morgan that although a non-custodial term had been mentioned, “all sentencing options are still open”.
The defendant was remanded in custody.
