THE family of a mother who died suddenly in Newport have paid tribute to her, saying that she was "one in a million".
Mum-of-two Kelly Williams, 38, suffered a heart attack after complaining about chest pains while shopping in the city centre on Sunday morning (May 12).
Her daughter Chloe Bale led the tributes to her mother, who she described as her "best friend."
She said: “I can’t believe what has happened, we will cherish our memories forever.
"Mum was a people person.
“She was funny, caring, loving and would do anything for anyone. That morning, she had a cooked dinner on the go for 17 people. That was just the sort of person she was.
“She was one in a million.

“If there was anything going on my mum would be the one to organise it. She would do Easter egg hunts for the young kids in the community. She would put on Halloween parties for them, even now, when I am 18. She loved to get involved.
“She was an amazing woman. They take the best of us too quick.

“She was an only child. My nan, Gwynyth, is devastated. It has been a shock to the family.
“Mum’s husband Mark is shocked - he can’t believe it.
“My brother was going up to Mansfield to watch Newport County play. An hour or so after he left, we had to call him to tell him. He came straight home.”

Kelly’s daughter-in-law Neekie Kalter said: “I would just like to say that it was a pleasure to have had such an amazing, generous woman as part of our lives and we will miss her deeply every day.
“She was taken far too soon but her memory will live on.
“If it wasn’t for Kelly coming into Mark’s life the family wouldn’t be as close as they are now.”
