NIGHTINGALE COURT: On Wednesday ,October 31 (Halloween) there will be a party at Nightingale Court for any senior citizens who would like to attend.
The party will begin at 7pm. Thursday, October 25, 2007 is the next quiz to be held at Nightingale Court starting at 7pm.
DRATA: The children, mothers and Councillor Watkins have planted the winter pansies on our roundabout and the centrepiece will not be planted until the spring.
Drata has been shortlisted for a GAVO award, held on Friday, October 19.
We hope to have good news for you next week.
COMMUNITY CENTRE: This is now getting fully booked so if you need any information please call Sheila on 01633 817743 between the hours of noon and 3pm.
Bingo is still going Thursdays and Sundays, so if you feel you would like to have an hour out call in and see the other players.
NEWPORT CHAMBER OF TRADE: We were delighted to attend this function at the Parkway Hotel on Saturday, October 13, as guests on St Anne's Hospice table. It was a great evening and the raffle and auction made £1,500.
Speeches were made by the president of the Newport Chamber of Trade and also the mayor of Newport, Councillor Alan Morris.
They thanked everyone for attending.
OLD TYME MUSIC HALL DANCE: This event is Saturday, October 27, at 7pm, tickets £6.00 if you are interested please give me a call as we have a couple of tickets to spare.
