Harvest Festival: Green-fingered youngsters at Ynysddu Primary School really got into the harvest spirit this year by growing their own produce for the service.
The school recently held its Harvest Festival in Sardis Chapel and the children raised their voices in song with a number of harvest and autumn-related hymns.
Ynysddu Primary head teacher Julie Protheroe led the prayers at the service and praised the pupils for their outstanding singing and said they had performed wonderfully.
Mrs Protheroe also highlighted the display of seasonal produce the school set up in the church.
This was a particularly outstanding achievement as the children had proved to be a mini version of the Ground Force team and had actually grown some of the vegetables which were put on show in the school's allotment.
This helps teach children where their food comes from and gives them a connection with the earth.
