A DRIVER had to be pulled from his overturned lorry near the M4 and Junction 28.
The incident happened at around 12.16pm this afternoon (July 26).
The ramps on Junction 28 of the M4 are currently closed both ways so that the lorry can be recovered.
Pictures show the lorry on its side with a smashed windscreen and oil leaking onto the road.
The remains of what looks like a caravan can also be seen next to the lorry.
There is currently serious congestion near the area and drivers are being advised to avoid and take a different route if possible.
There are multiple areas of congestion across the M4. The SDR is closed between the M4, J28 (Tredegar Park) to B4237 Cardiff Road (Ebbw Bridge Roundabout). Congestion is heavy up to J28 East Retail Park.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, and while there have been no injuries sustained from the accident, South Wales Fire and rescue confrimed the driver had to be "extricated" from the lorry.
