Jonathan Dewhurst,
Jonathan Dewhurst, aged 37, of Llanthewy Road, Newport, was jailed after an attempted robbery in Chepstow.
The defendant was sentenced at Newport Crown Court after pleading guilty to two counts of assault by beating and one count of attempted robbery.
He was sentenced to three years, nine months imprisonment.
