NEWPORT Bus services through Alway and Ringland only operated along Chepstow Road last night after three buses were attacked by vandals in the previous 24 hours.
Vandals damaged two bus windows on the 6E Alway and 8A/C Ringland service yesterday evening, between 5pm and 6.30pm.
These attacks followed an incident on Thursday, thyought to be in the same area, in which a window in the new electric bus was damaged.
No injuries were reported, and the incidents have been reported to the police.

"The second incident was by Alway shops. where a window was smashed. There were no injuries reported."
Due to the attacks, Newport Bus took to social media to tell would-be passengers that the 6E Alway and 8A/C Ringland service would only operate via Chepstow Road for the rest of the evening, with the decision being made in the interests of safety for customers and staff.
