A MAN from Newport has appeared in court charged with sexual assault.
Vasilica Constantin Solomon, 22, of Liscombe Street, appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning charged with two counts of sexual assault.

The charges relate to incidents reported on January 14 and 21 in Newport.
The man was remanded into custody until his next court appearance, at Newport Crown Court, on February 10.
