A NEWPORT woman was the lucky recipient of £1,500 as part of a prize draw conducted by Monmouthshire Building Society.
Throughout the year the society offered members a 150 Celebration Regular Saver Bond with a difference.
Members who took out a bond were entered into a monthly prize draw to win one of the five £150 prizes. Over the year the society gave away £9,000 in celebration of the 150th birthday.
To conclude the activities, all members were entered into one final prize draw to win £1,500.

The lucky member to win this incredible prize was Mrs Moses who regularly pops in to the Caerleon Road branch.
Mrs Moses, winner of £1,500 prize draw, said: “I was so surprised to receive the phone call from the branch to say I’d won.
"It’s a fantastic amount of money to win and we’ll be treating our children and grandchildren with it."
Will Carroll, chief executive of Monmouthshire Building Society, said: “The society has gone from strength to strength over the last 150 years, putting its members at the heart of everything it does. I am so proud to be a part of a business that has such a strong heritage, and member focus.
“This initiative has been a fantastic way to give something extra back to our members throughout the year. It has been extremely popular with over 1,500 members taking out the bond.”
