AT the start of this year Gwent took a battering from Storm Ciara followed swiftly by Storm Dennis, causing damage to homes, businesses, roads and community facilities. These photographs from the South Wales Argus archive show how the people of Gwent managed with storms in the 1970s and 1980s.
