MASKED men in a stolen car and transit vans broke into a vehicle dealership and took a tipper van, trailer and digger.
The incident took place in Abergavenny in the early hours of yesterday morning, with the aftermath also leaving a police car badly damaged after the driver of the stolen car reversed into it.
Using two transit vans, which are believed to have been stolen, and a Jaguar X-Type car - confirmed stolen in the South Wales area on April 28 - the men carried out the theft before leaving the dealership at around 12.50am.
Local Gwent Police units responded and one caught up with the convoy ofstolen vehicles.
The driver of the Jaguar X-Type stopped and then reversed into the marked police car, badly damaging it. No officers were injured.
After a short chase, by officers from the Area Support Unit, in Brynmawr, the two transit vans were stopped with a stinger device.

Gwent Police are now appealing for information to locate the driver of the Jaguar X-Type car and one of the drivers of the transit van.
"We are appealing for any witnesses or any individuals who may have CCTV footage, dashcam footage or any information about this incident," said a Gwent Police spokesman.
