GWENT Police have issued a reminder that those disobeying social distancing guidelines will be punished after footage emerged of crowds at a Gwent beauty spot on Thursday.
Videos shared on social media show the area known as The Canyons near Pontypool busy with sunbathers on Thursday afternoon.
The footage was condemned by residents on Facebook, with the video below clocking up over 16,000 views.
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said: “We’re aware that we have many spots of beautiful scenery across our force area, and while it may be tempting to visit these in the warmer weather we’ve been experiencing, restrictions still remain.
“We are engaging with local communities to reinforce the message; stay safe, stay local and maintain social distancing. We encourage everyone to follow this advice to protect themselves and their community.

What are the new lockdown rules in Wales?
The first minister announced in the daily coronavirus briefing today that, starting Monday, two households will be able to meet outdoors, although they will still need to follow social distancing measures.
To help lower the risk of increasing the spread of the coronavirus, the new guidelines say you should not be travelling more than five miles from home to meet another household.
As well as meeting in public outdoor spaces, the changes allow meeting in private spaces - such as gardens.
Beauty and tourist spots will remain closed.
Other changes to the regulations include allowing weddings and civil partnerships to take place if the bride or groom is terminally ill.
