OUTSPOKEN TV presenter Piers Morgan has heralded his return to ITV's Good Morning Britain with a rant about Dominic Cummings.
He said the government advisor - who has faced repeated calls to quit - had "singlehandedly destroying lockdown".
The presenter said: "What Dominic Cummings has almost singlehandedly done, is he has destroyed the lockdown.
"By doing what he did, refusing to even apologise, refusing to admit that anything he did was wrong. Even though none of us could do what he did, at the time that he did it.
"By doing that, he has destroyed the lockdown. He has destroyed trust in the Government.
"Boris Johnson still stands by him, inexplicably. God knows what Cummings has on Boris Johnson. It must be bad."
And his co-presenter Susanna Reid asked: "If the person who has helped set the rules can break the rules, why should anyone else stick to the rules?"

Piers added: "Why shouldn't I go and stay at my little cottage? My second home. Why shouldn't I pull a Cummings?
"It is what I am thinking. I haven't, because I don't want to do anything that would put my parents at risk."

In mid-May, it was revealed that Mr Cummings had made a 260-mile trip from London to Durham during lockdown.
He then made a second trip to Barnard Castle.
It comes as two of the government’s chief medical officers have said that lockdown rules are clear and apply to everyone in the wake of the Cummings row.
Deputy chief medical officer for England Dr Jenny Harries used her platform at the Sunday Downing Street press conference to agree with remarks made by her colleague Jonathan Van-Tam on the previous day.
When asked whether people in authority should lead by example and obey the rules at the daily briefing, Professor Van-Tam said on Saturday: “In my opinion the rules are clear and they have always been clear.
“In my opinion they are for the benefit of all.
“In my opinion they apply to all.”
