AN AIR ambulance helicopter was called to Pontypool yesterday following reports of a man in the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
Gwent Police said officers also attended the incident, which happened in the Pontymoile area at around 7am on Saturday.
A spokesman for the police said the man was "safely recovered from the water".
No injuries were reported to the police.
